Meet The Children's Group

We've been presenting award-winning entertainment for children for more than 15 years. From our head office in Pickering, Ontario, Canada (a Toronto-area suburb), we are dedicated to the best in entertainment and educational value for children, parents, grandparents and teachers. We are the premier company in North America presenting classical music entertainment for children through our collection of CDs, DVDs, beautifully illustrated books, live concerts and educational resources. With the addition of the This is Daniel Cook, The Bee's Knees and Robert Munsch series to our catalogue, we now expand our musical entertainment to include classic children's stories and music, too. We are proud to be a trusted source of quality entertainment products for families of young children.

Irene LaFrenais

Irene LaFrenais
Sales & Marketing Manager

Irene works with our customers to develop sales and marketing programs to expand sales through specialty accounts in the U.S. As a child, her favorite song was Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, particularly fitting with all the Mozart music we sell! Relaxing with family and friends is her favorite way to spend a day off.

Favorite pet: Ashes the cat (who thinks she's a dog).

Claim to fame: Her two beautiful daughters.

The most satisfying part of her job is making a difference in a child's life through music.

Lincoln Trudeau

Lincoln Trudeau

Lincoln is a graduate of Ryerson Polytechnic University's Journalism program. Over the years, he has interviewed a number of music artists and groups, writing both concert and album reviews. Some of his more memorable interviews were with George Clinton and the Tea Party. Favorite food: anything seafood. When he's not hard at work, Lincoln enjoys writing feature film screenplays, acting, performing stand-up comedy and spending as much time as possible with his family.
Rosanna Garcia

Rosanna Garcia
Bookkeeper

For some time now, Rosanna has given of her time to children through supporting school councils both at an elementary and high school level, and her intention is to continue to do so for at least another decade. Coming from a large family (4 brothers/sisters, 16 nieces and nephews, lots of aunts and uncles, cousins too many to count, and 2 great sets of parents) is a part of what she values most in life. Her only wish in life is that everyone could live with good health, happiness and a musical note in their hearts. Knowing that her contribution to The Children's Group adds to the growth of all young people is personally rewarding to her.

Favorite quote: The words of Winston Churchill - "I am an optimist - it does not seem to be much use being anything else."
